The meaning of the word ‘Amritsar’ translates to ‘a pool of nectar. This beautiful, holy city lives up to its name in every way. Located in Punjab, the city is close to Pakistan geographically, with the Wagah Border situated 28 kilometers from the city. Amritsar is a city with a small-town feel. The city has prospered immensely and houses upmarket hotels and fancy malls. However, it is still deeply rooted in its rich history and culture, represented by its holy shrines and rich cuisine. The city is home to the Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple. It is a key spiritual center for the Sikh religion and attracts millions of visitors every year, from all over the country and the world. Dalhousie is a gem of a hill station in India. The scenery is very vivid with flowering rhododendrons and dense forests filled with pines, oaks, and deodars. The town was established by the British as a summer retreat for their officials. Dalhousie is dotted with beautiful buildings sporting colonial architecture, reminiscent of the British era, such as St. Francis’s Church, St. Patrick’s Church and St. Andrew’s Church. With serene environs and majestic snow-capped mountains, Dalhousie refreshes your senses.
On the first day, you will arrive in Amritsar on your preferred mode by Air or Train. Check-in at the hotel and visit the India-Pakistan border at Wagah. Watch the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony where soldiers of both countries bring down their respective national flags in their unique styles. As the sun goes down, the air is filled with the sound of nationalistic slogans and patriotic songs. Then return to your hotel.

After breakfast, Start your city tour with the blessings of Sri Harmandir Sahib, is named after Hari (God) the temple of God, also known as the Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. Then visit Jallianwala Bagh which is a memorial to the countless numbers of innocent Indians which were massacred by General Dyer in 13 April 1919 which happened to be ‘Baisakhi’, one of Punjab’s largest religious festivals. After lunch(Own basis) visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum- The summer place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It is surrounded by the lovely garden Ram Bagh. Maharaja Ranjit Singh is a prominent figure, who had carved a niche for himself in the history of India. Evening day at leisure.

After breakfast, Check out from the hotel. Then proceed to Dalhousie by road. On arrival, check- into the hotel. After some time drive to local sightseeing of Dalhousie, Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chownk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least Old Churches of Dalhousie, Must eat Gulab Jamun at Café Dalhousie, Walk from GPO to Subhash Chownk through Thandi Sarak, also visit DC Khanna Grocery shop.

After breakfast, we shall depart for Khajjiar known as Mini Switzerland of India, on the way to Khajjiar we shall stop at Kalatop (A Nature walk suggestive here from Kalatop toll Bridge to Kalatop Rest House) and thereafter to Khajjiar and thereafter towards Chamba and after full day excursion Go back to the hotel to have your dinner and overnight stay.

It’s the end of this trip. After taking breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel. Enjoy some time yourself then Next, you will be transferred to Amritsar Railway station / Airport.
